Late Nigh Show on ABC

The edge with Jake is a late night talk show that I was involved some time ago - it is young, fast and lots of improv’. I had the phenominal experience to help start the show. Get it on multiple ABC affiliates. And run with as long as it was possible! Yes, unfortunately it came to an end… at least for me!

How it started:

It was based on a coincidence. I made friends with the host of the show during dinner at somebody elses house! We kicked it off right away and started a fantastic 4-6 month run of making a show out of nothing - College Tours, sleepless fund raising nights, lots and lots of Red Bull (they sponsored us) and a Finale in Vegas.

The story:

Like in a startup, life is not always easy. And just like many others, we had the exciting challenge to not run out of money on a daily basis. Sponsorships even from Ford, Overstock, AirTran, and others just could not support the overhead cost of a full blown TV show! Overtime I started to realize that I had to move on and fully pursue my own ideas - leave the show to the people that were most passionate about it. I had to do something from scratch and use the experiences that I had gained over time!

Update: The show soom will be fully back on track and can soon again be seen on a TV set near you!

What I learned:

I learned that even with a great vision and determination, success is not guranteed. Just like an idea, a vision, is not worth much if you do not have a strategic plan of getting there - sometimes excitement can blindfold!
